Having never heard of Wimbledon Alley before, I'm pleasantly surprised. The album is a decent if not better than average emo rock album.
Nothing stands out good or bad, well worth a spin or two. It's commendable that this is a passion project, and it shows. It's missing something from truly elevating it. The artist even says as much on their band camp. "I just wanted it to be my best sounding work, but at this point I just wanted it all done and out so I can keep writing more because I've felt SO stuck on this."
There's something here just under the surface waiting to come out. Maybe next album something will click.
